In the design phase of a project, we put on our thinking caps and hit the drawing board. Later, when it’s time for construction, we throw on our hard hats and complete all aspects of construction - from excavation to painting.

WHO WE ARE

Proven Experience
James E. Miller, A.I.A., principal of JEM DESIGN, Inc., is accomplished as both an architect and a remodeling contractor. His design experience spans over 20 years. After graduating with a degree in architecture from Cooper Union, and then obtaining a Masters of Architecture from Columbia University, he worked several years for the Port Authority in New York City. He then switched gears and began designing residential projects in Westchester, specializing in kitchens, baths and additions.

Together with Mr. Miller is partner Lanny R. Lerner, who has practiced as an architect for more than 15 years. He completed his architectural schooling at the Pratt Institute, and subsequently worked on many intricate building projects from commercial to residential. Over the last several years at JEM DESIGN, Inc., he has become expert in the remodeling business.
